Minnesota Timberwolves at Chicago Bulls Preview: Where is the Love?

The Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves face off tonight at the United Center. It's the second time in a week these two teams have seen each other, and hopefully this game will be slightly less ugly than the last one. But don't hold your breath.

As always, the preseason doesn't matter. Here are some things to keep an eye on.

1) Oh for the Love of…

As the extremely astute reader might have already figured out, based on the title, Kevin Love will not be playing tonight after he broke his hand doing knuckle pushups earlier this week. No, that's not made up.

Love also missed the first game with "general soreness" — if there are any How I Met Your Mother fans out there, you should know that I just saluted — which probably didn't help things in terms of ugliness. But Luol Deng and Rip Hamilton also missed that game and there's no indication they won't play tonight, so that should help.

2) Live Free or Kirk Hinrich. Wait, what? I really have absolutely destroyed this joke, haven't I?

Kirk Hinrich missed Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks with a thumb injury — apologies for mistakenly identifying it as a wrist injury, it was his thumb, not his wrist — but he's expected to be back tonight. Although Nate Robinson's 24 points, 13 assist performance on Tuesday was fun to see, so maybe it wouldn't be a big deal if Hinrich missed another game.

3) There is no number three. Enjoy your day.
