As you can probably tell, I couldn't come up with a joke for this headline. So I went with the backup. Or, ahem, the Buck-up. Sorry.
Anyway, as always, preseason doesn't matter. On to the game.
This is the new-look Milwaukee Bucks' first time facing the Chicago Bulls since the Bucks traded for Monta Ellis and Ekpe Udoh during last season. Milwaukee also has added Samuel Dalembert, John Henson and Doron Lamb since the last time these two teams squared off.
All of that is to say that these two teams bear only a passing resemblance to the teams that faced off in Milwaukee on March 7th, when Derrick Rose drained a step-back jumper at the buzzer to win the game for the Bulls, 106-104.
Overall, I think the Bulls are still slightly better than the Bucks. But it wouldn't shock me to see Milwaukee finish ahead in the standings at the end of the year. They've got some pieces, now it's just up to Scott Skiles to put it all together.
Of course, that assumes we haven't reached the end of Scott Skiles' rope. This might well be the year where it all goes belly up. Hard to say.
But hey, basketball. That's something.
